WCRE Property Management proudly attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the VA’s newest facility in Toms River on November 18th, celebrating a significant milestone for veterans in the Ocean County region. The state-of -the-art, 68,000-square-foot facility, twice the size of its predecessor, stands as a testament to the State’s commitment to improving healthcare access and support for those who have served our nation.

Key features of the new clinic include the addition of a dedicated women’s health center, specialized clinics, and telehealth services, which will streamline access to care for veterans, who often face barriers to healthcare. The facility reaffirms the VA’s mission to provide much-needed resources for the 1,164 veterans in New Jersey struggling with housing and access to comprehensive mental and physical healthcare.
The event drew notable speakers, including Senator-elect Andy Kim, who reflected on his family’s history and the pivotal role American soldiers played in shaping their path to America. Sharing heartfelt anecdotes about his Korean parents’ gratitude for the kindness of U.S. troops, Kim underscored his unwavering support for veterans.
Senator Cory Booker highlighted the broader impact of the occasion, stating, “Today is a testimony of patriotism.” He emphasized the VA’s ongoing efforts to not only provide critical healthcare but also address housing insecurity for veterans by working with social services and investing in essential housing aid. “This facility represents our gratitude and responsibility to those who served and protected our freedoms,” he concluded.
